Everton Rosa: from the beginning to the experiences
Photography is the life of the Brazilian Everton Rosa. At the age of 36 years old, born in Santa Catarina – one of the states of the Southern Region of Brazil -, where he took his first picture, he came to Rio Grande do Sul still adolescent, when he started to work at his father’s photo studio. He debuted on photo helping with production and revealing materials that used to come from baptizeds and weddings. Through photo works he also worked as fruit seller. Besides, he worked at a furniture store, at a shoe factory and at a bank. All of these before the age of 18.
A bit of the knowledge he got as seller, industrial worker, tradesman and bank clerk – besides being a music student as he assisted trumpet classes for seven years, from 12 years old, which let his artistic side grow – he made used for his business when he opened his first studio at the age of 19.
The existences also resulted on the ability to speech and give classes. Author and protagonist of books and DVD’s allusive to photograghy – and with a very tight agenda -, Everton still finds time to work as a digital photo teacher at ESPM-RS (Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing / Great School of Advertisement and Marketing, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul).
Photography as a mission
People from worldwide come to Brazil, meet Everton Rosa’s work and set photo sessions with him because of his peculiar and unique style which make people that have never been photographed get a good look on photos. Thus he produces albuns which are in all continents.
People identify themselves with the energy and sensibility of this photographer who reinforces that the highest point of his own work is the interpersonal relationship. It is about knowing how to relate and communicate himself to people from all social classes. It is about creating connections and extracting the best he can because he believes that any photo is a self-portrait. “It is necessary to give something to get it back. I see photography as a mission to help people out”, he says.
Nowadays he has two offices in Brazil – one in Porto Alegre and another one in Sao Paulo, besides a production centre based in Novo Hamburgo, RS – Everton works with two kinds of tasks: one of them is called Everton Rosa and the other one is nominated Staffphoto which is formed by a team who travels the whole country photographying. A team trained to photograph on the standart, vision and concept of Everton Rosa.
Married and father of a 13 year-old son, he photographs some of the more renowned artists, politicians and people from high-society from all over Brazil. Through this, he has gotten the status of being one of the greatest weddings and events photographers of the country (the world president of PepsiCo is one of his clients for example). He is also integrated to Elegant Events, from Vienna, Austria, for which he has already photographed weddings as well.
Television and Street Wedding
Dedication and a lot of study carried Everton to achieve a lot of respect never reached by any other wedding and events Brazilian photographer. He became well known, famous and is very admired throughout the country. Also because he has already appeared on famous TV programmes on huge channels on Brazilian TV always showing and talking about his photos.
His own TV show debuted on February 20th, 2009, on TV COM, in Rio Grande do Sul. People who do not live in the South can watch the episodes through the blog www.streetwedding.com.br. The intention is about making with photography what happened with cookery for example: bringing this art to the spectators. Important: he is always open to invitations, ideas and suggestions.
According to him, details make all the difference. That is what moves couples to look for him later to remember the unapproachable moments of an impassable celebration. Everon Rosa mixes the essence of the people he photographs with his own sensibility, focusing on beauty and on magic of those unforgettable moments.
Recently he has started his jobs around the Street Wedding, a new style and concept of wedding which consists on the fact that, literally, it leads a couple to the streets to be photographed, putting into proof all of their emotions because of the matrimonial union.
